Hi, I'm Kate Emery, third generation resident of Farmington. My objective in starting Circle Connect is to facilitate community connection based on shared interests.

As a society we've become much more mobile, much more online, much more consumer focused, and as a result our feelings of connection suffer. I want us to reconnect through our passions to each other and rediscover our neighbors as friends.

The first circle came about naturally for me, as an Artist. I wanted to connect with other Farmington Artists for monthly meetings and to work on joint artistic projects. We started meeting in 2024 and I've met some wonderful people, learned about other mediums, events, and I look forward to our monthly get togethers.

 

My hope is that others might want to start Circles to share their interests with others in our town. So if you're into fishing, hiking, cooking, reading, books.... let me know and we can set up a circle for you hear to spread the word and facilitate your connections to others who share your passion.
